A Very Sunny Day

On Saturday , I bought a few second hand pieces from  Liverpool's Big Vintage Fair at The Bluecoat ,which is on every year and would really recommend. I took a few pictures outside but none when I actually got in , because when I did get inside I was really concentrating on the clothes. I went with my beautiful Mother and we sat in the courtyard for a bit , I had a lemonade ( explaining the other wise randomly placed photo ) and on our way out  there was a guy playing an Enrique Iglesias song on the pan flute - he was cool.

Afterwards I felt like doing a little photo I did. I also recently went to IKEA and bought some plastic flowers , of which I was planning to finally make a flower crown , but I haven't quite got around to that but in the mean time I've kinda been obsessed with them. I decided to incorporate them into this little photo shoot of mine , they give off a really summery , sort of festival vibe.I have to admit that my Mum took all of the pictures for the little shoot- thank you Mum!

At the fair , I bought this stripy , multi coloured, sort of aztec print, midi skirt - I teamed it with a green shirt  from H&M and an orange beaded necklace which I wore on my head - I so totally felt like a hippie!

My second look has a more of a grungy vibe but still has that whole summer lovin' thing going on. I wore a dark green cable knit jumper from the fair , a tie dye maxi skirt from T.KMaxx , I have had the sunglasses since I was little and the brown leather bag did belong to my Mum ,but I'm "borrowing" it .

My final outfit consists of a really unusual top adorned with huge gorgeous sequins which I got this from a stall called Kitty Vintage. I'm also wearing a metallic maxi skirt from River Island ,which I think makes me look like I've just stepped out of a time machine from the future : and the whole outfit almost looks like a wedding dress of sorts....but it's definitely not.

From the vintage fair I also bought a really dreamy sky blue top with swirling patterns but I tried to iron it, and me being me, managed to burn a big whole in it and I was really sad but I'm think I might be able to mend it.
My lovely dog , Teddy , decided that she wanted to invade my little photo shoot and in turn, photo bombed several of my pictures- and at the end of it , all she could do was laugh at me:

CAUTION : Filming in Progress

'71 , a film  directed by Yann Demange, is currently being shot in Liverpool. Yesterday , I was lucky enough to have a look around the set of the new film, set in Belfast during 1971.Angus Lamont, a friend of my Dad's who is also the producer showed us around wardrobe , the hair and make up department and  a few other trailers : but at that point I didn't think to take pictures which is a shame, but I did remember to take photographs on location.
Complex cameras and screens were set up on a dilapidated street in Liverpool , with a burnt out car at the centre of the action ; characters were filmed running down narrow alleyways with numerous gunshots firing. To be honest, I don't know very much about the plot, but I won't go into too much detail about what I saw , because it will probably spoil it.Anyway, here are some pictures I took:

This is a picture of me and the director , Yann.

Thanks to Gus , for showing us around , it was great new experience which I will remember for ever ( I've just realised how cheesy that sounds-ah well , what done is done!)

A very brief summary of the clothes in the film that everyone's talking about... without spoilers...yay!!!!

I saw the Great Gatsby at the weekend and it was as fabulous as I had imagined , with dreamy clothes adorned with diamonds, amazing actors , and not forgetting the enticing plot - I think it to be one of the best films of the year!I'm not about to ruin it for everyone so THIS POST DOES NOT CONTAIN SPOILERS  because I'm a sensitive person.Instead , I thought that I would just talk about some of the clothes.
Whilst watching , I recognised one of the dresses in a party scene , it reminded me of that very distinctive Prada campaign.I found out that Miuccia Prada adapted 40 dresses from the Prada and Miu Miu archives for the film!
I drew arrows so that you could see it clearly , you're welcome:

It's no only the clothes that are dazzling,so are the diamonds - all designed by the almighty Gods/Goddesses of jewellery , Tiffany & Co.

I've decided not to go into too much detail about the costumes as it will simply spoil the film if you haven't seen it , part of the attraction of the film is the clothing. Go see it now , I promise , you'll enjoy it!
Also , I've written another article for The Muse TV , I wrote about Tavi :one of my all time favourite bloggers and bggest role models:

60's Girls RULE!

Recently , I've been listening to a lot of 60's music , some of my favourites are The Ronettes , Dusty Springfield , The Supremes and Aretha Franklin.
With their beehives and thick swept eye-liner , The Ronettes , were the coolest girl band around - ultra mini skirts and hair stacked as high as far as the eye can see ; if anyone was considered rebellious it was these girls.I really think that this band is under celebrated for it's awesome style- I've compiled some picture to give you a glimpse of their iconic and ground breaking look.

On a completely unrelated note , have you seen Jennifer Lawrence's photo bomb at the met gala?I came across it on Rookie and it's hilarious:

Spring/Summer vibes

Freshly mown grass , blossoming flowers, that warm summers breeze:this could only mean one thing- an end to the long cold winter.Spring is finally here and summer just around the corner, it's easy to see that some people are a little over eager to get out there flip flops and flower crowns but you cannot help but feel the spring and summer vibes. Here are some of my favourite of S/S campaigns , beautiful photographs and things in general that make me think of this time of year. ( I don't own any of these photographs : full credit to owners)
