Rain drops keep falling on my head

Apart from the fact that I think that 'Rain drops keep falling on my head' is an incredibly catchy song , I couldn't help but notice how the sunny, warm weather has subsided and we are back to typical good , old British rain. Saying that, I actually quite like the rain, running frantically through it to get under some shelter. And also this has pretty much nothing to do with fashion(sorry!)
Ironically, in the music video for 'rain drops keep falling on my head' (below) it's blissfully sunny the whole time!

And here my friends, is evidence of the return of the good old rain.

No,the light on this pic is not from the sun , but from the flash on my camera, but I love your optimism.

The small puddle which is forming in the middle of the road.

If your living in a country where it isn't raining then you're probably laughing at us here in England.Well, all I can say is 'lucky you!'

Chocolate-Gold medal

Today, I took some pictures of a few of my favourite outfits,on most of the shots it appears to be sunny, but in actual fact I just took them during the short bursts of glistening sunshine.I'm not a model but wearing these clothes makes me happy,I did do my fair share of posing though, but I wanted the pics to look as natural as possible. So hope they make you smile!Enjoy :)

Firstly , I wore a vintage "rrruss" shirt and a long mustard skirt with copper buttons right the way down.I used a parasol in this shot to make it look more artsy,I think that its mission accomplished there( as in attempting to make it look artsy, not the fact that it actually looks effortlessly artsy- if you get my drift).I wear this outfit when its sunny, I love it the way this skirt floats around my ankles , the fabric is just so delicate.

I have to admit, I'm doing one of those sort of 'Hello and welcome to my gardening show' type poses. This is what I call my 'summer jumper' , if you're not from Britain or an other country with an unpredictable climate than you will probably never understand the concept of a jumper in the summer. It's purely for those days when its cold but sort of sunny.

I call this my explorer's outfit.I love this Henry Holland esque shirt decorated with flamingos.I team it up with washed out blue denim shorts from asos , add a belt and wear these tortoise shell circular shades. All I need now is some binoculars!

Whenever I wear this, I cant help but feel empowered.....GIRL POWER!!!I add an 80's twist with a pink bow and give it a more girly feel with a red floral skirt.I love to wear these brown leather penny loafers , I feel like Nancy Drew!

Oh yeah, this is a picture of the chocolate-gold medal which I ate while watching the Olympics. Its pretty awesome.

Going for Gold

You're probably thinking , 'Typical! Just another post about the Olympics!" , well my pessimistic friends this isn't just any post about the London Olympics, no , this is the ultimate style guide to the 2012 Olympics. To be honest the actual Olympics doesn't really feature that much its more about what the athletes and spectators wore last night at the opening ceremony and me rambling on so yeah .Anyway , with that , let the games begin!

Team-style
What are this year's olympic teams wearing?

Team GB are wearing Stella McCartney's expertly designed performance kit , podium suit and villagewearAlso, at last night's opening ceremony team GB wore white tracksuits with contrasting gold - chic or tacky?

Team USA ,last night wore Ralph Lauren, preppy, military style uniform, love it or hate it?

Team Italia ,at the opening ceremony , were sporting stunning Giorgio Armani suits , designed specifically for athletes.

Team Mexico really went for it by wearing bright and traditional ponchos, which really did steal the show!

Team El Salvador did look fantastic with ombre sweaters and fitted blue skirts. It looked both elegant and effortless.

Spectators

The Queen - Her Majesty looked interesting at the opening ceremony , she wore a pink fish tail dress, with a coral coloured feathered headband. And I'm not entirely sure what I think of it.

Princess Kate - Dressed in an ice blue Christopher Kane number , looked absolutely impeccable.

Samantha Cameron - Wearing a statement black and red dress which looked simply effortless.

Performers

Rowan Attkinson- a.k.a Mr Bean , looked suave in a simple white shirt , bow tie and black suit as he performed during the opening ceremony adding a generous helping of humour to the performance of chariots of fire by the live orchestra.

Daniel Craig- a.k.a James Bond , wore a classic suit , which brought a touch of 007 to the ceremony.

That's it for now , but expect more fabulous ( if I do say so myself) posts from my blog.Subscribe and share with your friends!
